A Waterfront Wedding: Jason & Michelle at The Langstone
Love was truly in the air, and certainly on the water, as we celebrated the beautiful union of Jason and Michelle on November 1, 2025. Set against the stunning backdrop of The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island, Portsmouth, their day was a perfect blend of heartfelt emotion, elegant details, and a touch of heroic charm.
A Hero's Journey to "I Do"
Jason, a dedicated Captain in the Fire Service, is no stranger to answering the call, and on this day, the call was to forever with his beloved Michelle. While his daily life involves bravery and service, his wedding day revealed a softer, incredibly joyful side as he exchanged vows with the woman who captured his heart.
Michelle, radiant and graceful, was the perfect complement to Jason. Together, they radiated a love that was palpable to everyone present, making the work of their wedding photographer a dream as they captured every candid smile and tender glance.
The Setting: Hayling Island Elegance
The Langstone Hotel provided an exquisite setting, with its panoramic views of the water creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Imagine the gentle glimmer of the Solent as Jason and Michelle said "I do"—a truly memorable scene for a couple embarking on their new journey together.
Every stunning photo taken by Martin Carter Photography highlights the unique coastal light and the vibrant joy of the newlyweds, ensuring these memories remain as vivid as the day itself.

Planning a Wedding at Langstone Quays?
"If you’re currently planning your big day at Langstone Quays Resort, you’ve likely already fallen in love with that coastal breeze. As a photographer, I particularly love the natural light in the Spinnaker Suite; the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a soft, panoramic glow that makes skin tones look incredible during the wedding breakfast.
It remains one of my favorite Portsmouth wedding venues because of its versatility. Whether we are sneaking out to the water’s edge for sunset portraits or utilizing the modern, airy interiors when the Hampshire weather turns, it always provides a stunning backdrop for documentary-style photos. If you're looking for a photographer who knows the best 'hidden' angles around the Quays, I'd love to chat about your vision!"
