From the Regiment to Real Moments

My name is Martin, and my path to wedding photography was far from traditional. Long before I ever picked up a camera professionally, my first career was serving six years in the British Army with 2RTR (2nd Royal Tank Regiment). That military experience shaped the core of how I operate today—bringing a calm, structured presence, high situational awareness, and a reassuring approach to every environment.

After leaving the military, I moved into sales while pursuing photography on the side. Working in sales taught me how to read a room and connect effortlessly with people, while my part-time photography allowed me to hone a deep passion for visual storytelling—starting out on analogue film.

Eventually, my love for capturing genuine connection took over full-time. Now based in Christchurch, Dorset, and having documented over 150+ celebrations, I can honestly say I love taking photographs as much now as when I first began. For me, there is nothing quite like capturing moments in an unscripted, natural way—giving couples the space to stay completely present while preserving memories that last a lifetime.
