Chelsea & Jamie’s Intimate Wedding Ceremony at St Leonard’s Hotel
Chelsea & Jamie’s Intimate Wedding Ceremony at St Leonard’s Hotel
Earlier this spring, I had the pleasure of photographing Chelsea and Jamie’s wedding ceremony at the lovely St Leonard’s Hotel in St Leonards, Ringwood. The weather was classic British spring—grey skies and a steady drizzle—but honestly, it added a kind of quiet magic to the day.
Chelsea and Jamie had planned a relaxed and intimate celebration, and I was there to capture just a small part of it: the ceremony, some family group shots, and a few couple portraits afterwards. The ceremony itself took place inside the hotel, surrounded by close family and friends. It was warm and heartfelt, with plenty of emotion and laughter, and it was such a joy to document those moments.
Because of the rain, we kept all the group and couple photos indoors, working with the natural light coming through the windows and the elegant, cosy interiors of the hotel. It’s always a nice creative challenge as a wedding photographer to adapt to the space and light on the day—and St Leonard’s gave us plenty of character to work with.
Chelsea and Jamie were so easy together in front of the camera—completely themselves, full of laughter, and clearly just so happy to be married. Even with a bit of damp weather, their joy really shone through. It’s weddings like this that remind me why I love wedding photography—it’s not about perfect light or sunshine, it’s about capturing genuine connection.
If you're planning a wedding in Dorset and looking for natural, relaxed coverage, I’d love to hear from you.
