Zoe & Owen’s Joyful Countryside Wedding at The Coppleridge Inn

Brass band vibes, wildflowers, and a whole lot of love…

As a Dorset wedding photographer, I love returning to The Coppleridge Inn. The views across the Blackmore Vale are incredible for sunset portraits, and the rustic charm of the barn provides such a warm atmosphere for candid, documentary-style shots. If you're planning a wedding here, I recommend taking 10 minutes to sneak out to the fields just as the sun dips below the Shaftesbury hills

From the moment I arrived at The Coppleridge Inn, I knew Zoe & Owen’s wedding was going to be something truly special. Set on the edge of the Dorset countryside, this beautiful country pub offers four-star rooms, sweeping views, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere — the perfect backdrop for a celebration filled with joy.

Zoe got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, with sunlight streaming through the windows and that lovely mix of nerves and excitement in the air. One of the most emotional moments of the morning was her first look with her dad — such a tender, genuine moment (yes, I got a bit misty behind the camera).

The ceremony took place in the Inn’s gorgeous garden setting, surrounded by wildflowers and the soft glow of spring sunshine. As Zoe walked down the aisle, Owen’s face said it all — pure happiness.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to one of the most memorable parts of the day: a brass band performing a custom arrangement of “All You Need is Love.” It was such a joyful moment — completely unexpected, and absolutely unforgettable.

The rest of the day flowed effortlessly. Guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn, stunning views of the Dorset hills, and plenty of laughter before heading into the rustic barn for speeches, dinner, and dancing. And let me tell you — this group knew how to party!

From emotional glances to golden-hour portraits in the surrounding fields, Zoe & Owen’s day was full of the kind of moments that make wedding photography so rewarding. Real love, real connection, and such a relaxed and happy vibe from beginning to end.

Zoe & Owen, thank you so much for letting me be part of your day. It was a real joy to capture your story in such a beautiful setting — what a way to celebrate.
